Annual Nigerian Festival (Naija Fest):
Introducing to Maryland a festival that celebrates Nigerian and African culture and heritage. Every summerer since 2001, we host a free festival in Baltimore. The purpose of the festivals is to bring together Nigerians and non-Nigerians in the Baltimore area to celebrate and preserve Nigerian culture through dance and music performances, food, games, arts, and crafts.

Event Descriptions!!!

Nigerian Summer Enrichment Camp:
The purpose of the camp was to teach children about Nigerian history, society, and culture in a fun atmosphere.

Used-Book Drive:
From October 1, 2001 through June 30, 2003, we collected used textbooks and other books. The original purpose for the drive was to send the books to schools in Nigeria that are in dire need of good reading materials.

Black History Month Field Trip:
Every February, we plan an educational field trip to a site to learn about African and African American history.

Annual Gift-wrapping at Barnes & Noble:
Every Christmas season since 2000 we engage in a Barnes & Noble fundraiser. The bookstore invites local organizations to offer gift-wrapping services to customers in exchange for donations. We go to Barnes and Noble branch in Towson, MD.
